New Orleans Jailbreak: Massive Manhunt, List of 10 Inmates, Watch Video

While three fugitives have since been captured, seven remain on the run — and authorities warn they are armed, dangerous, and desperate.
What Happened: A Coordinated Escape Exploiting Security Failures
At approximately 12:23 a.m., surveillance footage shows the group of inmates removing a bolted-down sink and toilet unit in their shared cell. Behind it was a hole in the wall—possibly due to structural neglect—leading to a hidden maintenance corridor.
The inmates crawled through this passage, made their way to a rear loading dock, and scaled a perimeter fence using blankets and bedsheets to bypass razor wire. One inmate scrawled a mocking message at the escape point: “Too Easy LOL”.
Shockingly, the jailbreak went undetected for more than seven hours. A headcount at 8:30 a.m. revealed the breach. The single officer assigned to the pod had reportedly stepped away for a meal break during the critical window.
