Watch the Latest Trailer for Squid Game 2 - You’re Invited
New trailer for Squid Game 2 |
With each passing day, fans are getting more and more excited for the release of Squid Game Season 2. A new teaser trailer has just been released, offering fans a sneak peek at a returning character and increasing their anticipation for what's to come.
The most recent sneak peek shows that a major player from the pilot will be back for season two, which should lead to even more nail-biting action.
The latest minute-long teaser from Netflix confirms that Gong Yoo's enigmatic character, The Salesman, will be back for Squid Game Season 2. He is resuming his recruitment efforts for the lethal games, just as he did in the first season. Aptly named "You're invited," the teaser encourages viewers to partake in the foreboding contest. "Would you like to play a game with me?" The Salesman asks the audience directly in a terrifying moment. once again engrossing viewers in the warped universe.
The teaser opens with a glimpse into The Salesman's day, shot in the style of a video documenting his morning routine. As he gets ready for work in the morning, we see him taking a shower to the hauntingly soothing accompaniment of classical music and the ticking of a clock. Returning to his work, he meticulously places the red and blue ddakji, business cards, cash, and other essentials into his briefcase.
The following scene shifts to a subway platform, the exact spot where the fatal game started in the original series. Taking the ddakji from his pocket, The Salesman steps out of the subway and slowly makes his way toward the camera, breaking the fourth wall with the question, "Would you like to play a game with me?" He seems to be inviting whomever he is speaking to into more than just a brief, unsettling moment. Also, it makes us feel like we could be a part of Squid Game's twisted world. While we didn't expect The Salesman to make an appearance in Season 1, this teaser implies that he'll have a bigger hand in bringing in new players and the evil schemes that will unfold in Season 2.
Season two will presumably continue right where season one ended. Lee Jung-jae's character, Seong Gi-hun, also known as Player 456, is hell-bent on bringing the killers behind the games to justice and ending them for good.
What is the song that Doll sings in Squid Game?
The latest sneak peek could be a precursor to the return of the evil games by implying that Gi-hun will inevitably face off against The Salesman and The Front Man. The new season will be even riskier and more exciting than the previous one because the stakes are higher than before. According to director Hwang Dong-hyuk, the level of intensity is going to be even higher this time.
Season two of Squid Game was announced by Netflix in 2022, but the release date was not set until August of that year, almost three years after the first season was released.
More good news: next year will see the premiere of Season 2 of Squid Game, which will, alas, be the last instalment of the immensely successful series.
