Suspect in Custody, Facing Felony Charges
Police confirmed the man was arrested and is expected to be charged with felony vandalism due to the significant property damage. No injuries were reported.
Initial investigations suggest the crash was not accidental, but authorities currently have no evidence indicating that the intruder was specifically targeting Aniston. "So far, the motive remains unclear," a law enforcement source told ABC News.
Suspect Has Minor Criminal Record
According to officials close to the investigation, the suspect has a minor criminal history, though nothing in his background suggests a direct connection to the actress. The man's name has not been released pending formal booking.
Timing Coincides With Reported Move to Montecito
The security scare comes amid reports that Aniston is planning to leave the Bel Air mansion, which she purchased in 2011, and relocate to a $14.8 million Tuscan-style farmhouse in Montecito. She reportedly bought the property from Oprah Winfrey in 2022 and has been renovating it extensively over the past year. Sources say the move is imminent.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are continuing to investigate the suspect’s motive, background, and how he was able to breach one of the most secure celebrity neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Surveillance footage and forensic evidence from the crash site are being reviewed.
