A passenger plane flying from Azerbaijan to Russia has crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan killing four people, according to health officials and medical workers.

Flight number J2-8243, an Embraer 190 aircraft with 62 passengers and five crew members on board, was forced to make an emergency landing on Wednesday about 3km (1.8 miles) from Aktau.
Azerbaijan Airlines AZAL revealed new updates on emergency landing of an Embraer 190 aircraft operating flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny.
According to AZAL, there were 62 passengers on board the flight. According to preliminary information, the passengers included 37 Azerbaijani citizens, 16 Russian citizens, 6 Kazakh citizens, and 3 Kyrgyz citizens and 32 of them are hospitalized. The full list of passengers will be made public.
The Kazakh Transport Ministry said some 62 passengers and five crew members were on board the plane, citing Azerbaijani sources.
The transport ministry said the passengers included 37 Azerbaijanis, 16 Russians, six Kazakhstanis and three people from Kyrgyzstan.
The Kazakh Emergencies Ministry said in a statement on Telegram that its teams found the aircraft on fire upon arrival at the scene.
Rescue units have extinguished the fire, the ministry said. Doctors and psychologists were also working at the site.
