The recall was initiated after Hanshaw & Capling Farms, located in Immokalee, Florida, notified Ray & Mascari Inc. that a batch of tomatoes may have been contaminated with Salmonella during the supply process. Ray & Mascari had repacked the affected tomatoes into branded 4-count clamshell containers, which have since been distributed across multiple U.S. states.

What Is Salmonella?
