According to Hartford police, the confrontation stemmed from an argument between the two men—a father in his seventies and his son in his forties.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim dead inside a car, having suffered multiple stab wounds. "It was a knife attack, multiple stab wounds, and pronounced deceased on scene. It was a domestic incident, unfortunate and violent," said Lt. Aaron Boisvert in a statement.

The altercation is believed to have escalated after an argument between the father and son, who were not Hartford residents but lived elsewhere in Connecticut. The son, identified as the suspect, remained at the scene and was taken into custody. He is cooperating with investigators and is currently awaiting formal charges.
