The suspect, identified as Elvis Andrade, is believed to be involved in multiple car break-ins in Stoughton and Avon. Andrade, 32, from Brockton, has five active arrest warrants.

On December 4, a resident reported their car, parked at an apartment complex, was broken into, and their wallet was stolen. The stolen debit card was later used at CVS, with surveillance footage capturing Andrade in Grinch pajamas.

Further investigation revealed Andrade was also responsible for using a stolen credit card at Walmart in Avon. Police found that he had been involved in car thefts and break-ins on December 1, 4, 9, and 11. Andrade was identified on December 13. An arrest warrant for him includes charges of breaking into vehicles and larceny.

Police Chief Donna McNamara said the department has an arrest warrant for Elvis Andrade, a 32-year-old from Brockton. He is wanted in "multiple motor vehicle break-ins, car thefts, and credit card fraud," the department said.

McNamara said Stoughton and Brockton police worked together to identify Andrade as the man on surveillance video seen wearing the green outfit featuring the main character from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." She said there are five active warrants out for his arrest.
