Jacqueline Guajadr - Woman Suspected Of Abducting Kids

On December 21, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the King City Police Department announced that the suspect in a recent child abduction case had been apprehended, and the two children involved were found safe.

Earlier that evening, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) issued an AMBER Alert for Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara counties following the reported abduction of two children from King City.

The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Jacqueline Guajardo, was last seen driving a black 2016 Nissan Altima with California license plate 9EXF349.

The children were last seen near Livingston Avenue and San Antonio Drive in King City.

Thanks to the swift actions of law enforcement and the public's vigilance, the suspect was taken into custody, and the children were safely recovered.

The AMBER Alert system has been instrumental in such recoveries. As of December 6, 2024, 1,221 children have been successfully recovered through the AMBER Alert system, with at least 195 rescues attributed to wireless emergency alerts.
