Theo Germaine, a nonbinary Netflix star, went missing over the weekend but was later found with unknown injuries, according to their partner, William Rusan. Rusan called the situation an "emergency" and hinted at a severe brain injury, saying Germaine had been missing since Saturday afternoon.

With little information, Rusan posted on Twitter: "They are confused, and their phone is not charged."

Later, Rusan shared an update, saying: "Theo has been found badly concussed, cold, and disoriented, but otherwise unharmed."

Concerns were raised for the 32-year-old, who is transgender and identifies as non-binary using they/them pronouns, this morning when their partner, William Rusan, shared a concerning post on Theo’s Instagram account.

Sharing a picture of Theo and William cuddled up together in bed, the post declared it was an ’emergency’, before sharing more information about the situation at hand.

What Happened to Germaine?

Details about what caused Germaine’s disappearance are unclear. However, their partner expressed gratitude on Facebook, confirming that Germaine was back home and under a doctor's care.

Rusan added that while Germaine is recovering, they are dealing with a serious concussion and will likely avoid screens for a week or two. The family appreciated everyone’s concern.

Germaine, 31, rose to fame playing a transgender character in Netflix’s The Politician. In a 2020 interview with Vogue, they shared that they previously identified as transgender before embracing a nonbinary identity. Germaine spoke about wanting more diverse roles in Hollywood, saying, “Being limited to a few trans characters that Hollywood finds acceptable isn’t exciting.”

The Netflix series, which earned eight Primetime Emmy Award nominations and two Golden Globe nominations, ran for two seasons and is expected to return for a third, however Ryan has maintained that it won’t be filmed until years later.
